So, I have a PowerEdge R710 that I am looking to redeploy in another role.
We have updated the drives, and have 8x 600GB drives in a RAID10 array.
The array is 2.4TB.
I would like to UEFI boot so that the entire 2.4TB drive is the C: drive of the Windows server (2012).
I have downloaded the latest SBUU disk and installed Windows Server 2012, however it limited me to 2TB system/boot partition. I then used the SUU disk to make sure that all the server hardware was up to date, and in the process updated the LifeCycle controller to 1.6.0.73.
If I boot into the LifeCycle controller, it knows nothing about Windows Server 2012, and can only install at 2008R2 OS.
The Lifecycle controller warns me that the system might be out of date, but when I check, all the hardware is correct - however the Windows drivers section is out of date, and has a 2009 date on it.
(All other dates are 2014.)
If I put in the SBUU disk and try to UEFI boot to it, it will not work, and gives an error that the disk is not able to boot in UEFI mode.
So, how do I install Win2012 as a UEFI boot?
