I have been trying to diagnose this high and low thinking this was some issue with our VNC app or version of Windows RDP, but I am now stumped. We have a T110 sitting between three workstations and we often need to RDP terminal session into the server from our XP workstations to do work. However, I notice that in almost every instance, after a terminal session is open, the keyboard on the server itself behaves erratically. Keys begin to stick and randomly repeat. A single space becomes three or four, a tab becomes several, and each letter spits out itself 4 or 5 times. The repeat key is only the key being pressed, never another random character. After observing this behavior for over a year, I realize it ONLY happens when an RDP terminal session is opened. The behavior only clears itself after restarting the server. It's EXTREMELY annnnoooyyyying. The only way I can turn this off is to turn off key repeats in the keyboard control panel by dragging all the sliders down to zero. But that interferes with my typing because I normally use key repeats. I've replaced the keyboard four times, removed all USB devices (we have barcode scanners attached to the server), but the behavior is specifically tuned to when remote desktop is open. Even if all the sessions are terminated, the behavior persists.
Any suggestions?
